Our Story and Mission
Confident and Free was born from a vision to create a sanctuary for Black women over 40, and those who resonate with the journey, a place where they can embrace their true selves without fear or hesitation.
Founded by Erica Aker, who understood the unique challenges faced in midlife, her mission is to provide a supportive community that encourages transformation, emotional healing, and self-prioritization.
Erica believes in the power of choosing oneself and living life with confidence and freedom. Her journey began with the desire to fill a gap in support for women who have spent too long shrinking in the shadows.
Today, she stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment, welcoming all who align with the mission to live happily, authentically, and unapologetically.
